Permafrost is now available in Steam Early Access, with a release date of 9 October 2026. Scavenge, craft and build shelter in a frozen world, alone or in co-op with up to four players.
The developer delayed the originally announced opening hour to include launch improvements, then confirmed that the game was live. We do not treat the earlier time as the actual opening time.
This remains an in-development release. Two initial hotfixes disable FSR on NVIDIA RTX 20, 30, 40 and 50 series cards to reduce crashes. Read the developer’s current stability notes and judge the playable build before buying.
A 20% introductory offer was visible in the checked EUR storefront, at €19.99 instead of €24.99. Steam lists 23 October as its end date; an exact end time was not confirmed. Prices and availability can vary by region, edition and account.
