Permafrost: Steam invites work from the main menu

Permafrost's 11 October hotfix enables Join Game from the Steam friends list and invitations sent through Steam chat. The joining player must already have launched Permafrost and be waiting in its main menu.

The patch fixes Hopes and Dreams not completing, but the developer warns that saves which picked up the glitched recording before the hotfix may still be stuck. A fix for those existing saves is planned for a later patch; this update is not a universal repair.

High Frequency can now be completed while Hopes and Dreams is active. If a quest key is missing from both your inventory and the reward chest, speak to Anna or Skinwalker for a replacement. The listed quests are Breaking the Radio Silence, The Way Home and Rise Above the Cold.

The notes also list fixes for recipe pinning, quest-tracker updates after changing the language and a workbench-crafting crash. These are developer-reported changes to an Early Access game; we have not performed an independent performance test.
