Early Access and early access are not always the same

Steam Early Access is a way to buy and play a game while it is still in development. Look at what is available in the current build, the developer’s explanation of its state and whether that build already interests you.
Advance Access is a different idea: an edition or pre-purchase incentive can let buyers start before the standard release. A paid head start does not itself make the game a Steam Early Access project.
Our practical rule: read the edition description, check the playable features and separate the current product from promises about its future.
